After beating LASK 7-1 on aggregate, Manchester United will face off against Copenhagen at RheinEnergieSTADION on Monday night hoping to pick up a victory and book a place in the semifinals of the UEFA Europa League.
Expect United to field a team that looks more like a Premier League lineup instead of the normal cup competition lineup. Thankfully, the domination of LASK gave players a lot of rest time and more importantly, no injuries!
Brandon Williams will replace Luke Shaw at left-back as the more senior player continues to recover from an ankle injury.
Of the other nine outfield players, only Harry Maguire will retain his place in the team, with the likes of Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford all returning to the side.
James Garner, Andreas Pereira, Odion Ighalo, and Fred will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game if Solskjaer calls upon their services.
Solskjaer must decide whether to keep Sergio Romero between the sticks or hand a recall to David de Gea.
Copenhagen manager and ex-Wolverhampton Wanderers coach, Stale Solbakken is expected to make minimal changes to his first XI after their impressive showing on Wednesday.
Guillermo Varela, who played 11 times for United during the 2015-16 campaign, will line up at right-back.
Jonas Wind is regarded as one of Copenhagen’s danger men after scoring twice and providing an assist against Basaksehir.
Copenhagen has had a great run in this year’s tournament, only suffering two defeats in 10 matches since the beginning of the group stages.
